Who is James Cleare?

When James was three, he learned to play the boogie-woogie on the family piano by ear. This sparked his passion for music, which stayed with him throughout his time at Berklee College of Music. After graduating, he went on tour with various bands like Ha Ha Tonka, Psychic Twin, The Spring Standards, Veers, Lucius, Rosie Golan, and Pretend Collective. He also had the opportunity to perform on national TV and record in famous studios. James has had the chance to share the stage with incredible bands such as The Wallflowers, Sean and Sara Watkins, Lucius, Glen Hansard, Mavis Staples, Rhett Miller, The Avett Brothers, Zac Brown Band,  Squeeze, The Old 97's, The Gin Blossoms, Jon Stiratt, and Pat Sansone of Wilco, Tallest Man on Earth, Aoife O'Donovan, Elizabeth and The Catapult and more!

As a full-time member of three bands and often hired as a sideman, he has spent sixteen years touring North America and Europe.
